Tiki Bar Margarita

A ridiculously simple Margarita variation that works fantastically well, with Lime, Tequila and Almond in the mix. Created by Crispin Somerville and Jasper Eyears at Bar Tiki, Mexico City.

Quick Guide

Mix

2 shots of Tequila
1 shot of Lime Juice
0.5 shots of Almond Sugar Syrup

Shake

Add all the ingredients to the mixing tin, add lots of ice, shake thoroughly and strain into the glass over lots of crushed ice and churn.

Pour

Serve in a Rocks glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge and a cherry.

Measure 2 shots of Tequila and add to the mixing tin.

Measure 1 shot of Lime Juice and add to the mixing tin.

Measure 0.5 shots of Almond Sugar Syrup and add to the mixing tin.

Add lots of ice to the mixing tin.

Shake the drink well until condensation forms on the outside of the mixing tin.

Strain the contents of the mixing tin into a Rocks glass.

Fill up the glass with crushed ice.

Churn the contents of the glass.

Taste the cocktail and if necessary adjust the balance with a touch of extra sugar or citrus juice.

Garnish the cocktail with a pineapple wedge and a cherry.
