Mountain Sipper

An unusual whisky sour which sharpens up the base with cranberry and grapefruit rather than the usual lemon or lime. The result is a deep bourbon sour with plenty of fruit and a moreish finish.

Quick Guide

Mix

2 shots of Bourbon
1 shot of Triple Sec
1 shot of Cranberry Juice
1 shot of Grapefruit Juice
0.125 shots of Sugar Syrup

Shake

Add all the ingredients to the mixing tin, add lots of ice, shake thoroughly and strain into the glass over lots of ice.

Pour

Serve in a Rocks glass and garnish with an orange wedge.

Measure 2 shots of Bourbon and add to the mixing tin.

Measure 1 shot of Triple Sec and add to the mixing tin.

Measure 1 shot of Cranberry Juice and add to the mixing tin.

Measure 1 shot of Grapefruit Juice and add to the mixing tin.

Measure 0.125 shots of Sugar Syrup and add to the mixing tin.

Add lots of ice to the mixing tin.

Shake the drink well until condensation forms on the outside of the mixing tin.

Fill a Rocks glass with ice.

Strain the contents of the mixing tin into the glass.

Taste the cocktail and if necessary adjust the balance with a touch of extra sugar or citrus juice.

Garnish the cocktail with an orange wedge.
