Wonderful American classic that unites Mint and Bourbon in a classic Cooler.
2 shots of Bourbon
0.75 shots of Sugar Syrup
12 Mint Leaves
3 dashes of Old Fashioned Bitters
Pre-chill all the ingredients and the mixing tin, add the Mint to the mixing tin and gently muddle with the Bourbon, add the other ingredients and lots of ice, shake well, fine strain into the glass, add lots of crushed ice and churn .
Serve in a Collins glass and garnish with a mint sprig.

Add 12 Mint Leaves to the mixing tin.
Gently muddle the contents of the mixing tin
Measure 0.75 shots of Sugar Syrup and add to the mixing tin.
Add 3 dashes of Old Fashioned Bitters to the mixing tin.
If possible chill the mixing tin, its contents and the glass for half an hour in the freezer.
Add lots of ice to the mixing tin.
Shake the drink well until condensation forms on the outside of the mixing tin.
Fill a Collins glass with crushed ice.
Fine strain the contents of the mixing tin into the glass.
Churn the contents of the glass.
Taste the cocktail and if necessary adjust the balance with a touch of extra sugar or citrus juice.
Garnish the cocktail with a mint sprig.
