A surprisingly clean and crisp Margarita given the large number of ingredients. The grapefruit comes through nicely in the finish. An excellent cocktail. Created by Robert Plotkin and Raymon Flores at Barmedia, USA.
1.5 shots of Tequila
0.5 shots of Triple Sec
1.5 shots of Grapefruit Juice
1.5 shots of Lime Juice
0.5 shots of Cranberry Juice
0.5 shots of Sugar Syrup
0.25 shots of Lime Cordial
Add all the ingredients to the mixing tin, add lots of ice, shake thoroughly and strain into the glass over lots of ice.
Serve in a Coupette glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
Tiny bubbles cover the surface of an elegant Floridita Margarita cocktail.
Fill a Coupette glass with ice and water to chill it while mixing the cocktail.
Measure 0.5 shots of Triple Sec and add to the mixing tin.
Measure 1.5 shots of Grapefruit Juice and add to the mixing tin.
Measure 1.5 shots of Lime Juice and add to the mixing tin.
Measure 0.5 shots of Cranberry Juice and add to the mixing tin.
Measure 0.5 shots of Sugar Syrup and add to the mixing tin.
Measure 0.25 shots of Lime Cordial and add to the mixing tin.
Add lots of ice to the mixing tin.
Shake the drink well until condensation forms on the outside of the mixing tin.
Discard the ice and water in the glass.
Strain the contents of the mixing tin into the glass.
Taste the cocktail and if necessary adjust the balance with a touch of extra sugar or citrus juice.
Garnish the cocktail with a lime wedge.
