This drink practically defines the contemporary classic; superbly balanced, lots of depth, yet eminently drinkable. One of the most well known 80's cocktails, but don't let that put you off! Created by Dick Bradsell.
2 shots of Gin
0.5 shots of Creme de Mure
1.5 shots of Lemon Juice
0.5 shots of Sugar Syrup
Add all the ingredients to the mixing tin, add lots of ice, shake thoroughly and strain into the glass over lots of crushed ice and churn.
Serve in a Rocks glass and garnish with a blackberry.
Blackberries and crushed ice on the surface of the Bramble cocktail.
Measure 0.5 shots of Creme de Mure and add to the mixing tin.
Measure 1.5 shots of Lemon Juice and add to the mixing tin.
Measure 0.5 shots of Sugar Syrup and add to the mixing tin.
Add lots of ice to the mixing tin.
Shake the drink well until condensation forms on the outside of the mixing tin.
Fill up the glass with crushed ice.
Churn the contents of the glass.
Taste the cocktail and if necessary adjust the balance with a touch of extra sugar or citrus juice.
Garnish the cocktail with a blackberry.
